Software and failure reporting station
Lack of an efficient communication system in the factory is a #problem. At our client’s site, it concerned the way machine failures were reported. Our #solution involved developing a proprietary system for reporting them along with an information kiosk for system management on the shop floor. Why did we develop a system from scratch, even though there are ready-made solutions on the market? Because, from the client’s perspective, they lack several key functionalities.
The system supports managing failures from reporting to resolution, allowing them to be categorized, assigned statuses, and ensuring that information quickly reaches the right recipients. Access to the failure reporting system from the production floor is now provided by our information kiosk. The construction was preceded by detailed planning and careful selection of components. The stainless steel keyboard is resistant to spills and dust, while the stable and appropriately heavy steel frame ensures user comfort. The glass panel in front of the screen is not just for design but also provides additional protection. The ergonomics of the whole setup allow for placing the information kiosk in a convenient location. The #solution meets all the client’s requirements, so we are satisfied too!
ANDON system
Improving processes can be seen as working with information, as one of our clients realized. At Contrologic, we therefore created a complete production information system for them, covering virtually the entire production line of excavators. The system collects data from individual workstations and records events from the line in an SQL database, such as line strokes, the use of torque wrenches, etc. Visual statuses are displayed on the factory floor using light columns, while times are displayed on synoptic boards. In the production office, there is a monitor with a large-format visualization of the entire production line. Continuous monitoring of a large amount of information in real-time improves safety on the factory floor. From a production process management perspective, the system serves as a fundamental tool for improvement by providing data for optimization at each workstation on the line.

Certainly, when entering factory premises, security meticulously records all your data in a paper “entry logbook.” Finding data in such a tome is a #problem, and extracting information would be a painstaking task. Our client, a leading company in the industry, also wanted to have a leading #solution to this issue. We created a system where security electronically registers guests, and all data goes into a database. Automatic reports and summaries are sent to the appropriate people in the company, and large-format monitors installed in the administration building display the status of guests on the premises in real-time. In case of crisis situations, our system significantly raises situational awareness, ensuring #safety.
Collection and visualization of data from the drying line
Collecting comprehensive production data from the technological line brings not only process benefits. In this case, the main #benefit of data aggregation is energy savings. Our #solution involves, on one hand, communication with the technological line, retrieving data from its controller. On the other hand, it’s our proprietary software allowing real-time analysis of incoming data and efficient energy management. And that’s a significant #saving.
